Twos (Tues) day

The fuel injector tube #4 arrived via FedEx. Fortunately, the install was straightforward and our starboard engine is again running smoothly with no fuel leaks. The alternator pulley I ordered was instead delivered to our home in Florida. A friend picked them up and is shipping them ahead of us to Evansville, IN. The company tried to make things right, but a second pulley order will arrive here in Cannelton, IN tomorrow afternoon long after our early morning departure. Just goes to show that even express shipping can’t overcome all the frictions of doing business in a hurry. The approaching winter storm has been a growing concern for us. As such, we are going to get an early start and push down river tomorrow to Evansville, IN where there is a marina with transient docking, and electricity. They will give us a shuttle ride to a local hotel where we have reservations for all of us including the three dogs, for the duration of the winter storm. After the storm passes, temperatures are forecast to rise from below zero up to around 50 degrees, and then we hope to resume our cruise southward. Thanks to everyone following our progress and offering your encouragement.
